The Lincoln Saltdogs trailed the Wichita Wingnuts 4-2 through four innings of play at Lawrence Dumont Stadium when a weather delay interrupted the ballgame for 170 minutes before the game was finally called Thursday night.
Dustin Yount hit a sacrifice fly and Luis Perez clubbed a two-out RBI single to cut the Dogs deficit to 4-2 in the top of the fourth inning.
If the Dogs would have batted in the top of the fifth inning and the Wingnuts maintained the lead, the game would have been considered complete. As it stands, all statistics from the four innings will be cleared and the game will not be rescheduled.
Lincoln travels to Sioux City for a four-game series against the Explorers beginning with a double header Friday night at 5:05.
