The right-hander made three relief appearances for the Saltdogs this week, picking up two saves. In three innings pitched, Fuell struck out four batters while allowing no hits. Fuell currently has an ERA of 0 for the year. This is the 25-year-old Tucson native’s first season with the Saltdogs.
Before the start of this season, Fuell has a career ERA of 3.27 in 203 games played. Last season with Carolina, Fuell had four saves in 39 games.
The Saltdogs are off to a perfect 4-0 start to the season, sweeping Pensacola in their season-opening series. The team is back in action May 16, beginning a three-game series at Shreveport.
