DURHAM, NC – The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball had three players selected to Baseball America’s 2011 Independent League All-Star Team.

Fort Worth Cats C Kelley Gulledge (pictured) batted .339 with 14 home runs and 73 RBI. He scored 74 runs with 126 hits and 28 doubles. The Arlington, TX was also named to the American Association’s postseason all-star team.

Wichita Wingnuts 3B Juan Richardson hit .360 with 81runs scored, 140 hits, 86 RBI and an on-base percentage of .452. Richardson was second in on-base percentage, fourth in batting average and fifth in hits and RBI. The resident of Bani, DR was selected to the league’s postseason all-star team as well.

Sioux Falls Pheasants RHP Ben Moore finished the season with a record of 13-4 and an earned run average of 2.92. In 145 innings pitched, Moore fanned 144 batters and walked only 49. The 30-year-old was first in strikeouts and second in ERA, wins and innings pitched. Moore was a two-time Player of the Week recipient, July Pitcher of the Month and the league’s Pitcher of the Year.
