Biography:
Dickey joined Lincoln last July, and overcame a slow start to claim a starting spot in left field during the season’s final month. He hit safely in 22 of the season’s last 25 games, and added a pair of home runs in postseason play. Gavin’s pro career began in 2006, after being drafted out of the University of Florida in the 12th round by the Seattle Mariners. In 2009, before coming to Lincoln, he appeared at three different levels in the Mariners organization: low-Class A Clinton, high-Class A High Desert, and Class AA West Tennessee. In addition to playing baseball at Florida, Dickey played quarterback for the Gators football team. |
