In that game Payne scored the game’s tying and winning runs, and earned the victory on the mound… Suffered season-ending injury in July of 2012… played for Lake County (North American) as a rookie, hitting .245 with six stolen bases in 41 games... a former All-American infielder at Northwestern College (NAIA) in Orange City, Iowa.
