Biography:
Paduch had an up-and-down 2009 season, but boy, what a finish. His 11-strikeout performance against Wichita on August 13 set the tone for his appearances against the Wingnuts in the playoffs, and he won three postseason games, including the title-clinching game five of the championship series at Pensacola. A native of the Chicago area, Paduch was selected out of college by the Cincinnati Reds organization in the 12th round of the 2003 draft. Jim spent four years in the Reds organization, earning a brief trip to AAA Louisville. He moved to the independent ranks in 2007, pitching in both the Northern League and the Frontier League. Paduch began the 2008 campaign with Rockford of the Frontier League, before joining Lincoln in late July.
